You might want to leave the leads (intact) of sensitive active components and some electrolytic capacitors until soldered. It helps with wicking away excess heat safely. The leads can be trimmed later. You can also use a fiberglass pen to clean oxidized wires and leads. A solderpot can speedup production. Might want to use a tacky flux solder paste, with hotair gun to hand solder smt components. Hotplate soldering is another option to smt reflow. Just some additional tips.
