You didn’t mention cleaning off the flux. Noob.
Be sure to put your heat shrink tube on the wire BEFORE you solder. Otherwise, how do you get it on?… Surprised nobody mentioned this. 🙄

Sooo….no flux no soldering?
This is my first attempt and I have no flux! Just solder wire. My solder WILL melt, but its in spurts. Wait like 3 min, melts for 5 seconds. Wait 3 min. Melt 5 seconds. Does this not stay hot enough to melt full time? Weller sp23L
