For the first example, dont tin the pad that much. The wire should be going through the hole, put it through and add a bit of solder to it.
Lead free solder is only really necessary if you’re soldering every day for several hours. The amount of lead exposure you get from handling traditional 60:40 lead solder is practically nothing, and worth the tradeoff for solder that’s easier to work with imo.
This gotta be one of the worst examples of a good solder. Yea it works but ur burning the board. Not neat at all. Be careful don’t just torch ur board 😂

I always did without flux, and they sucks. is the flux mandatory?
