  2. Wait a moment is that really what they call a linear PSU in North America? Holy Shmoley no wonder they still use dogpoo 110V. What you described as a linear PSU is straight up garbage. Where is the Transistor and the Z-Diode to provide a reference voltage? That’s not stable power that comes out of such a thing, that’s rippley mess of wire gauges. Get a switching power supply with a band gap reference, nice big cap and inductor to smooth it out and boom you can even make use of that stone age 110V abomination. Source: I am an electronics engineer.
